Supper Club

Once per month, when the weather is nice, we host a Supper Club. We do it for selfish reasons. It’s where we get outside our normal duties of running a catering company and take an opportunity to express ourselves as chefs, experimenting with ideas we’ve been kicking around, making the best of seasonally available food, and just generally having a great time.

Our guests enjoy the outdoor setting, the intimate group (we try to keep our number around twenty guests), and getting to know people that, if they were dining at a restaurant, wouldn’t have conversations with each other. We seat everyone at a long table, and they chat, laugh, drink wine, and enjoy five courses at a steal of a price.

Appetizers

Organic Chicken Satay – organic chicken is marinated, grilled and served with our house-made peanut sauce, a drizzle of lime zest creme fraiche, and cilantro garnish.

Thai Carrot Soup Shooters – local carrots poached in home-made lemongrass chicken stock, finished with coconut milk.

Palm Sugar & Fish Sauce Hot Wings – marinated chicken wings, deep fried and finished with sweet thai chili sauce.  

Dinner (served in 3 courses)

Red Curry Risotto – Homemade lemongrass stock, caramelized shallot, garlic, ginger, sake, and saffron, topped with steamed mussels and crispy fried garlic.

Asian Pear & Jicama salad – green papaya, mint, cilantro, thai basil, crushed limes, garlic, ginger, and pickled cucumber.

Halibut with green curry & coconut oil grilled leeks, cilantro pesto, saffron infused whipped coconut cream, fried cashews, finished with cilantro oil.

Dessert

Turmeric sweetened condensed milk ice cream affogato with a mango Biko bite.
